GAMEBOTSUCHI, a table assembly kit with a game cabinet made of cardboard, will go on sale in late November.

This is a new product from VIBE Corporation, which produces the "DANBOCHI" series of inexpensive simple soundproof rooms made of corrugated cardboard. The "Danbotchi" series has been a big hit, with more size variations and plans for sales in Asia, but this time the new product is targeted at game enthusiasts.

The "GAMEBOOTO" was developed in response to the recent popularity of retro games. Conventional table enclosures are made of wood, and much iron is used to hold the cathode-ray tube, but "GAMEBUBOTSU" weighs much less because its main components are made of honeycomb cardboard and it is designed to hold an LCD monitor. As a result, it can be easily installed in private homes. In addition, the top panel has been changed from conventional glass to a hard-coated acrylic panel to further reduce weight.

It also features the freedom to add hardware of the user's choice to play with. It can be customized by additionally installing a dedicated controller panel and a top panel with a touch panel display, which are available as optional items. Of course, when not in use as a game cabinet, it can be used as an ordinary personal table.

Measuring 860 x 580 x 670 mm, it comes with a hard-coated acrylic top panel, service hole, maintenance hatch, and speaker grille. The sales channel is via Internet mail order, priced at 100,000 yen plus tax.

*The "GEMU BITOUCHI" will be sold as an assembly kit in order to keep the selling price low. Users will assemble the product themselves upon arrival. Therefore, tools such as wood glue and screwdrivers are required.

*The LCD monitor, game console/controller, game software, etc. are not included with "GAMEBOOTO". To use it as a game cabinet, you will need to prepare them separately.

We strongly recommend the use of an IPS-type LCD monitor for "GAMEBUBO" due to viewing angle issues. Available monitor sizes are up to approximately 22 inches for the wide type and 19 inches for the square type.

Sale of finished product sets
　We are developing a set of panels that can be assembled at our factory and used with minimal processing. Assembling the panels at a fully-equipped factory will result in a more precise product.
