2015 Summer Anime Satisfaction Popularity Poll" Results Announced! Charlotte" took the first place over "Umaru-chan" and "Jailhouse Gakuen"! Umaru-chan" and "Jailhouse Gakuen" and ranked 1st!

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" conducted the "2015 Summer Anime Satisfaction Popularity Poll" from September 24 to October 9, 2015. Here are the results of the poll.

Among the TV anime that started airing in the summer of 2015, the participants were asked to vote for the works that they thought were particularly interesting or "good to see". The " 2015 Summer Anime OP Theme Popularity Poll " was held from August 17 to September 23, 2015, and to our surprise, the best three works did not switch places. However, the first and second places were reversed, a dramatic result.

The winner of the "OP Theme Popularity Poll" was "Charlotte," which also took second place in the "OP Theme Popularity Poll," out of a total of 51 entries. The original story and script were written by Jun Maeda of the game brand Key, the characters were designed by Na-Ga, and the animation was produced by P.A. WORKS. This new work, which was highly acclaimed by the public, has lived up to the high expectations of the fans.

Unfortunately, " Umaru-chan" could not win the "OP Theme Popularity Poll," but it came in second place with approximately 200 votes! Umaru-chan. This comedy depicts the daily life of Umaru, the "dried-up sister" who is a perfect high school girl outside but a dried-up sister at home, and received a high rating of 4.35 out of 5 points in user reviews. It was the dark horse of the summer anime series, with no blind spots in any of its elements, including its unique setting based on the popular "dried food" theme, Umaru's character, the cast's acting, and the stability of its animation.

The third place went to "Prison School" directed and composed by "SHIROBE". Directed by Tsutomu Mizushima and Michiko Yokote of "SHIROBAKO" fame, the series was one of the works that had attracted much attention even before its broadcast. The series depicts the trials and tribulations of five high school boys imprisoned in the punishment wing (a.k.a. "Prison") by three beautiful women from the school's "underworld student council," which enforces discipline at the school, and has attracted attention for its out-of-the-ordinary gags. Although the content of the show can be said to be aimed at a male audience, it seems to have gained the support of female viewers due to the preciousness of the male voice actors who play the role of the high school students who are covered in their troubles.

This season, "W0RKING! Idolmaster Cinderella Girls," "Durarara! Among them, "Non noobi yori Ripito" ranked in at No. 7. Non noobi yori" is a healing comedy set in a rural school called "Asahigaoka Branch School," which has only five students. The first season was aired in the fall of 2013 as an anime, and it quickly rose from No. 18 in the ranking of expectations before the start of the broadcast to No. 1 in the ranking of ability after the start of the broadcast to No. 1 in the ranking of satisfaction after the end of the broadcast. Although it is the first new work in about 2 years, it has made the top 10 again this time, solidifying its position as a popular title.

The top 10 titles and the number of votes cast are as follows. The total number of votes cast was 1982.

No. 1: Charlotte (283 votes)
No. 2: Umaru-chan (198 votes) Umaru-chan (198 votes)
