Rika Takashina (CV: Rena Ueda), a new character, appears in the second part of the theatrical version of Wake Up, Girls!　I-1club derived unit "Next Storm" also appears!

Wake Up, Girls!" has announced new characters for the animated film "Wake Up, Girls! The Second Part of the Movie: Beyond the Bottom," which will be released on December 11.

Wake Up, Girls!" is an original anime directed by Hiroshi Yamamoto (director of the TV anime "Lucky Star"), written and composed by Doko Waita, and featuring music by Satoru Kamizaki (MONACA). The TV broadcast and theatrical release started simultaneously in January 2014 and attracted much attention. A new theater version, "Wake Up, Girls! Sequel Theater Version," will be released in September/December 2015 as a two-part series.

The new characters of "Wake Up, Girls! Sequel: Beyond the Bottom," which will be released on December 11, have been unveiled. The new character is Rika Takashina (CV: Rena Ueda), who works under center Shiho Iwasaki (CV: Yuka Ohtsubo) of I-1club, a top idol group that boasts absolute popularity and is the rival unit of "Wake Up, Girls! Although she has not appeared in the anime so far, she is an important character who is the main character in the spin-off manga "Little Challenger Wake Up, Girls! We also learn that three members, Aya Mizuta (CV: Chika Anzai), Noua Morina (CV: Marika Takano), and Hinoko Fujisaki (CV: Mao Amatsuka), will appear as the I-1club derived unit "Next Storm". They appear to be the key unit in the second part of the series, and will release their CD "Resurrection/Unstoppable Future" on January 13, 2016.

Rena Ueda, who plays Rika Takashina, will also appear at the "Wake Up, Girls! Festa. 2015 Beyond the Bottom Extend" live event to be held at Makuhari Messe on December 12. For those of you who already know Rika, she will finally appear in the main anime. We hope you will come to the theater to find out how she will appear in the main story.
