Akiba elevated "B-1 Grand Prix Shokudo" renewed for a second chapter with 8 new menu items plus a single rice dish! Preview Report

The "B-1 Grand Prix Shokudo AKI-OKA CARAVANE", a local gourmet food and drink spot, was renewed as the second chapter on October 23, and a preview was held on October 22.


The preview report of "B-1 Grand Prix Shokudo," a group of local gourmet food stalls under the elevated railway tracks of Akiba! The first phase includes a total of 14 dishes, all of which are only one coin and well worth eating!

B-1 Grand Prix Shokudo AKI-OKA CARAVANE opened on July 10 as the first permanent restaurant in Tokyo and the official restaurant of the "B-1 Grand Prix," an event held nationwide to showcase "local gourmet" (*According to the official website, it is definitely not a "B-class gourmet"). The menu is not fixed and features local gourmet dishes from about 70 regions, but on October 23, the menu will be replaced for the first time and renewed as the second chapter.


In the second chapter, "Hachinohe Senbei Soup," "Kitakami Croquettes," "Yokote Yakisoba," "Fujinomiya Yakisoba," "Hiruzen Yakisoba," "Saiki Gomadashi Udon" and "Tagawa Horumon Nabe" will replace the existing " Yokkaichi Tonteki," " Ichinoseki Harami Yaki," " Yamagata Imoni Curry Udon," " Nayoro Nikomi Genghis Khan," " Honjo Eight new items have been added to the menu, including " Fried Ham," " Izumo Zenzai," " Otaru Ankake Yakisoba," and " Kami-Taiba Tonchan. With the addition of these new items, the staple food menu has increased from 7 to 5, and the side dish menu has increased from 7 to 10, thus improving the balance of the menu lineup. All items continue to be priced at 500 yen or less, and the noodles can be increased from the default half size (400-500 yen) to a full size (700 yen).

In addition, the most powerful menu item, "rice by itself," has also been newly introduced. And since it is priced at 100 yen, its value as a lunch spot will skyrocket for Akihabara residents and other people who mainly eat in Akihabara.

The menu is scheduled to be changed again in February or March 2016.
