Winter anime "Ao no Kanata no Forhythm" reveals key visual and cast! Sports youth anime based on PC game

The key visual and cast of the TV anime "Ao no Kanata no Forhythm," which will start in winter 2016, have been announced.




The anime is based on the PC game "Beyond the Blue Rhythm" by sprite. It is a coming-of-age story about girls who devote themselves to a new sky sport, "Flying Circus," in a world where people can easily fly thanks to the invention of shoes that generate anti-gravity. Directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki of "Utetama" and "Astarotte's Toys! and "Astarotte's Toy!", series composition by Reiko Yoshida of "Wimpy Pedal" and "Non noobi yori", and production by GONZO.

The key visual and cast have now been unveiled. Asuka Kurashina, a polite, natural, curious, and hardworking girl, is played by Misato Fukuen; Misaki Tobisawa, Asuka's classmate and Grasshopper instructor, is played by Anmi Asakura; Mashiro Arisaka, Asuka's junior and Misaki's favorite, is played by Maki Yamamoto; and the students of Takafuji Academy who moved in next to Akiya's house Rika Ichinose, an honor student at Fukurushima Branch School and a first-year regular in the FC club, is played by En Yonezawa.
