WD6001FZWX, a 6TB model of Western Digital's WD Black HDD, is now available!

WD6001FZWX, a 3.5-inch HDD with 6TB capacity, is now available from Western Digital.




The WD6001FZWX is part of Western Digital's "WD Black" line of HDDs for gamers and workstations.

The WD6001FZWX features StableTrac technology, which reduces the effects of vibration from other components and stabilizes the internal platters for optimal performance , and Dynamic Cache technology, which optimizes cache allocation between read and write operations. The company also says that the new system is compatible with the existing 4TRAC and 4TRAC series.

In addition, according to the company, the maximum data throughput is up to 29% faster than the existing 4TB model, and 10% faster in PCMark Vantage benchmark software.

Main specifications includea SATA 3.0 (6Gbps)connectioninterface. Cache capacity is 128 MB; disk rotation speed is 7,200 rpm; maximumtransfer rate is 218 MB/s.
