Brass band anime "Hibike! Euphonium", a sequel will be produced! A movie version looking back on the series will also be released.

The release of the movie version of the TV anime "Hibike! Euphonium" will be released in theaters and a sequel will be produced.



Euphonium" is an adolescent entertainment novel "Hibike! Euphonium" is based on the novel "Hibike! Euphonium: Welcome to Kita-Uji High School Brass Band" (original story by Ayano Takeda). It is a coming-of-age story set in a high school brass band club, depicting how the female members seriously engage in club activities under the strict guidance of their newly appointed advisor. Directed by Tatsuya Ishihara of the "Chuunibyou ga Koi ga Shitai! series, series composition by Juki Hanada, character design by Akiko Ikeda, series direction by Naoko Yamada, and production by Kyoto Animation.


This work was broadcast from April to June as a spring 2015 anime. It has gained popularity for its depiction of the real life of a brass band and the sensitive emotions of adolescence, and has received a near perfect score on "Anipota," an anime portal operated by Akiba Research Institute, and has received many moving comments.
