TV anime "Young Black Jack" reveals guest character/cast information for the "Mujocho" version!　Mamoru Miyano, Hikaru Midorikawa, Daisuke Hirakawa, etc.

Guest character/cast information for the "Mujocho" version of the TV anime "Young Black Jack" currently airing has been announced.



Young Black Jack" is an anime adaptation of the manga "Young Black Jack," based on Osamu Tezuka's masterpiece "Black Jack," set in the 1960s and depicting the unknown past of a man named Makuro, who later becomes the genius surgeon Black Jack. Directed by Mitsuko Kase of "Ristorante Paradiso" and "The Last Weapon Girlfriend," series composition and supervisor is by Ryosuke Takahashi of "Firebird" and "Armored Trooper Votoms," and animation production is by Tezuka Productions.

The guest character/cast information for episodes 9 to 11, "Mujocho" version, which will be broadcast from November 26, has been released. Mamoru Miyano plays Maruo Hyakki, a former surgeon who lost his limbs in an accident and had his future cut short, Hikaru Midorikawa plays Takara, Hyakki's friend from medical school, Daisuke Hirakawa plays Sabame, a professor at Teito University Hospital, Junji Mashima plays Tano, Eriko Matsui plays Mio, Hyakki's fiancee, and Ruso, the child who inspired Hyakki to study artificial limbs, is played by Daichiyo. The child, Rouji, is played by Taichiha; Shunsaku Ban, a detective in the Investigation Department, is played by Kosei Tomita; and Takara's father-in-law, Keiko Daigo, the director of the Teito University Hospital, is played by Takehito Koyasu. Young Black Jack" adopts the "star system," in which characters from Osamu Tezuka's works are treated like actors and asked to play different roles. Many characters from "Dororo" appear in the "Mujocho" version.

A BD&DVD release commemorative event will be held on April 17, 2016. In addition to additional cast member Miyano-san, Yuichiro Umehara (who plays the role of Makuro Otoko), Koji Yusa (who plays Yabu), Shizuka Ito (who plays Maiko Okamoto), Junichi Suwabe (who plays a military doctor), and the artist in charge of OP/ED will also appear.
