TV animation "An English Family Eats Japan" will air a special New Year's program on New Year's Day, 2016! The British Family Eats Japan

It was announced that a special New Year's program will be broadcast from the TV anime "A British Family Eats Japan.




The British Family Eats Japan" is an anime work based on a non-fiction food walking essay by Michael Booth. It is a gourmet travel comedy about a British food writer and his family who happen to stay in Japan for about 100 days, and introduces "Japanese food" that is attracting worldwide attention along with the unusual journey of the family who visit various places from Hokkaido to Okinawa to eat all Japanese cuisine. The series was broadcast on NHK from April to November 2015, and gained popularity due to its live-action part that concludes the series.

This time, a special program will be broadcast on NHK General from 22:15 to 23:04 on January 1, 2016. The program, titled "A British Family Eats New Year's Food," will feature the family getting in touch with their New Year's dishes. The story begins with a mysterious message from his friend Toshi, "Before learning about New Year's dishes, you must first learn about rice!
