Microsoft Band 2,a new model of Microsoft's multifunctional fitness band thatmeasures daily activity and sleep status and manages them in conjunction with a smartphone app,is now on sale at the Jan-gle Akihabara flagship store.




The Microsoft Band 2 is the successor to the Microsoft Band, a wristband-type activity meter thatcan measure the user's heart rate, number of steps, calorie consumption, and other activities, as well as map walking data, UV radiation levels, and sleep data.

32 x 12.8 mm color OLED The curved display ( 320 x 128 dots ) enables the device to fit more comfortably on the wrist. In addition, the number of built-in sensors has been increased from seven in the previous model to eleven, and features support for measuring altitude change and maximum oxygen intake (VO2MAX), as well as voice operation with " Cortana " (English only).

Main specifications include a 32 x 12.8 mm color OLED curved display (320 x 128 dots ) and a Bluetooth 4.0 (LE) connection interface. Other features include a microphone, GPS, sensors (optical heart rate sensor, 3-axis accelerometer/gyroscope, gyrometer, GPS, ambient light sensor, skin temperature sensor, UV sensor, capacitance sensor, galvanic skin response sensor, microphone, barometer), and dust and splash resistance.Power is provided by a built-in battery with 48 hours of continuous operation.
