Akiba Spill] A pen-type phase analyzer that can check phase order just by touching it is now on sale.

Akiba Koho" is an irregular column introducing PC parts and digital gadgets that the Akiba Research Institute staff found interesting during interviews.

VP-01U", a pen-type phase/electricity analyzer, is now on sale at Toei Radio Radio Department Store.

The "VP-01U" is Japan's first pen-type phase/electrometer that allows users to check the phase order (the order in which electromotive force is generated) of three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire distribution lines by simply touching the covered wires with the thin tip like a pen nib .

While general phase analyzers require contacting the probe bare wire or attaching the clip to a covered wire, the "VP-01U" allows checking the phase order of three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire distribution lines by simply touching the tip to the covered wires in sequence. The measurement result is indicated by LED color and a beep sound. In addition, a non-contact current detection function is also provided to check for grounded phases and broken wires.

Main specifications include a voltage range of 100 to 1000 VAC, a frequency of 45 Hz to 65 Hz, a main body size of 21 (W) x 26 (D) x 153 (H) mm, and a weight of approximately 40 g (not including batteries). The power source is two AAA batteries, and the battery life is approximately 150 hours (with alkaline batteries).

S ince the thin tip like a pen tip is simply used to touch covered wires, it can smoothly measure even inside a power distribution panel with messy wiring, and it also saves time when changing measurement points and removing the device, which is likely to reduce the burden during work in addition to improving work efficiency.

If you use phase analyzers in your work or hobby, why not check them out at the store?

The price is 6,780 yen (tax included).
