TV anime "Terraformers" to start its second season in April 2016!　Major Staff Changes

The second season of the TV anime "TERRAFORMARS" will start in April 2016.

TERRAFORMARS" is an anime work based on a manga serialized in Weekly Young Jump. Set on Mars in the future, it is a science fiction story depicting mankind's battle against the surprisingly evolved cockroaches, and has been adapted into an OVA and a live-action movie (released on April 29, 2016). The original comics have sold more than 13 million copies.

The second season will start in April 2016. The title is "Terraformers: Revenge," and the main staff has been drastically changed from the OVA version & the first season of the TV series. The director is Michio Fukuda of "Hyakko," the series composition is by Toshihisa Arakawa of "Wolf and Spice," and the character design is by Atsushi Ikaritani and Kyazuki Aizawa. Animation production will be handled by Leiden Film, which has continued from the first season, and the new TYO Animations. The cast will remain unchanged.

The first PV will be shown for the first time at the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment booth at the "Jump Festa 2016" event.

The year is 2620. In order to produce a vaccine for the Alien Engine Virus, a 100% lethal pathogen born on Mars, Kneemaru Toru and his team set off to Mars to secure samples of the abnormally evolved human-sized cockroaches, known as "Terraformers".
Despite unexpected accidents and the onslaught of Terraformers, they manage to survive, but behind their mission, a conflict erupts between humans...
