The inexpensive Crucial 2.5-inch SSD "BX200" series is now available!

The inexpensive 2.5-inch SSD "BX200" series is now available from Crucial.

The lineup includes two models: the 240GB model CT240BX200SSD1 and the 480GB model CT480BX200SSD1.




The CT240BX200SSD1 and CT480BX200SSD1 are 7mm thick 2.5-inch SSDs with SATA 6Gbps support.

The onboard controller is Silicon Motion's SM2256, and the NAND flash uses the company's 16nm TLC manufacturing process. Data transfer speeds are the same for all models, with read speeds of 540MB/sec and write speeds of 490MB/sec in order of capacity. random performance is 66,000 IOPS for read and 78,000 IOPS for write.


Endurance is 72 TBW (total bytes written), with an MTTF of 1.5 million hours.
