Dagashi Anime "Dagashi Butai" Announces Cast! Ayana Taketatsu, who plays Hotaru Edadaru, also sings the ED theme song "Hey!

The cast has been announced for the TV anime "Dare But Butai," which will start in January 2016.



Dare But Butai" is an anime work based on Kotoyama's manga serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday. The comedy centers on the son of the heir to a candy shop and the daughter of a candy manufacturer who is a candy fanatic. In the original manga, the names of candy bars that everyone knows, such as "Umaibo," "Young Donut," and "Butamen," appear in real life. It has also gained popularity by introducing fun ways to eat them and recipes for adding a little something extra. Directed by Shigehito Takayanagi of "The World God Only Knows" and "Kanameimo"; series composition by Shigehito Takayanagi and Yasuko Kamo; character design by Kanetoshi Kamimoto of "Yosuga no Sora" and "Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai. The animation is produced by feel.

The main cast has now been unveiled. Ayana Taketatsu plays Hotaru Edadaru, the daughter of the president of a major confectionery company who comes from the city to take over Kokonotsu's father's company; Atsushi Abe plays Kokonotsu Kakuta, a first-year high school student living in the country who does not want to take over his father's candy shop; Aimi Numakura plays Saya Endo, a friend who is fond of Kokonotsu; and Saya's twin brother, Saya's idiot friend, is also a friend. Saya's twin brother and Coconotsu's idiot friend, Endo Mame, is played by Tatsuo Suzuki, and Coconotsu's father, Yoh Kada, a famous figure in the world of candy, is played by Keiji Fujiwara.


The theme song was also revealed. The opening theme song is "Checkmate!" by MICHI, a female singer from Okinawa who was in charge of the OP/ED of "Rokka no Yusha". The CD will be released simultaneously on January 27, 2016.
