Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie" Announces New Characters and Cast! Mysterious boy Aigami is played by Kento Hayashi in his first attempt as a voice actor.

New characters/cast members have been announced for the anime film "Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions" to be released on April 23, 2016.




The "Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie" is a theatrical anime adaptation of the popular manga "Yu-Gi-Oh! This time, Kazuki Takahashi, the original author of "Yu-Gi-Oh!" is in charge of script, character design, and executive producer, and a completely new original story starring Yugi Muto (CV: Shunsuke Kazama) and Sejin Kaiba (CV: Kenjiro Tsuda) from the first film, with the after episode of the two (= the last episode of the original manga or later). The story will depict their after episodes (i.e., the episodes after the last episode of the original manga).

The new characters and cast have been unveiled this time. His name is "Aigami," a mysterious boy whose visuals have only been previously announced. The character is being kept under wraps, but will be played by actor Kento Hayashi, who won the 31st Japan Academy Prize for Best New Actor for his role as a genius pitcher in the movie "The Battery. Producer Teruaki Sanematsu commented on the casting, "I have the impression that he plays a wide range of roles from bright to shadowy, and when the subtitle of this film was decided to be "THE DARK SIDE OF DIMENSIONS," his name was the first actor that came to mind. I am very much looking forward to seeing how he will play the role of Ai-jin and what kind of Ai-jin we will encounter when he is played by Mr. Hayashi, since he has such a long career but has never acted as a voice actor. I will gradually reveal the identity of Aigami, so please look forward to it. He also said, "I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of Aigami I will be playing.
