The anime version of "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" will be distributed in December with all four episodes! The first EST distribution of the series will also be available at the same time!

An anime adaptation of "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" has been officially announced.


Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" is a manga series by Yasuo Otagaki, serialized in Big Comics Superior. The anime version will be produced by Sunrise Studio 1, which also produced "Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)," as the latest work in the Gundam series. Directed and written by Kou Matsuo of "Revolutionary Machine Valvrave," with animation character design by Hirotoshi Takatani, animation mechanical design by Fumi Nakamori, Seiichi Nakatani, and Hajime Katoki, and music by jazz musician Naruyoshi Kikuchi. The cast includes Yuichi Nakamura as Io Fleming, Ryohei Kimura as Daryl Lorenz, Torea Yukinari as Claudia Pale, Sayaka Ohara as Carla Mitchum, Daisuke Hirakawa as Cornelius Kaka, Shunsuke Sakino as Graham, Mutsumi Sasaki as Burroughs, and Dai Tsuchida as J.J. The anime adaptation has now been officially announced. It was also revealed that the series will consist of four episodes and will be simultaneously distributed through EST distribution (a cell-type distribution service with no viewing deadline), a first for the "Gundam" series. The first episode will be distributed from December 25 (December 11 on the official smartphone application "Gundam Fan Club").

In addition, a special PV with 4K high-resolution specifications will be screened at the Akihabara UDX venue at Gunpla EXPO World Tour Japan 2015 (November 20-23), and a limited preview event of the first episode will be held at the Bellesalle Akihabara venue on November 23. <Story
In the end of the One Year War between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon, the space colony of Moore on Side 4 was destroyed by Zeon forces, and many of its residents lost their lives. In the reefs where countless numbers of destroyed colonies and the wreckage of sunken battleships drifted, the collision of electrified debris caused constant flashes of lightning, and the area came to be known as the "Thunderbolt Space. The Moore Brotherhood, a unit of the Earth Federation Forces composed of survivors of Moore's citizens, had longed to reclaim their homeland in Thunderbolt Space, and were determined to destroy the Zeon forces in the area. The Zeon army, which was trying to stall the Federation's advance, also deployed the Living Dead Division, which had been established to collect battle data on prosthetic limb soldiers.
