SAMSUNG NVMe SSD MZ-V5P256B/IT with 2.2GB/sec read is now available!

SAMSUNG has released theNVMe-compatible M.2 SSD"MZ-V5P256B/IT" with a read speed of 2, 200MB/sec.

The MZ-V5P256B/IT is part of the company's consumer-oriented NVMe SSD "SSD 950 PRO" series, and as mentioned above, features a high-speed transfer rate of2,200MB/sec read.

The NAND flash is"V-NAND" consistingof 32 stacked 128Gbit chips.The controller is the newly developed " UBX " and the cache memory is power-saving LPDDR3 memory (512MB). In addition, the "Dynamic Thermal Slotting Protection" function suppresses the transfer rate when the internal temperature exceeds 70°C to prevent heat-related problems.

Main specifications are:read: 2,200 MB/sec, write: 900 MB/sec, random read: 270,000 IOPS, random write: 85,000 IOPS; connection interface is PCI Express 3.0 x4; board size is Type 2280; MTBF: 1.5 million hours.
