OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin II" BD Version Sold 42,000 Copies in First Week to Top Oricon Overall　First in the series

The BD version of the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin II: Artesia of Sorrows," released on November 26, was revealed to have topped the overall Oricon Weekly BD Ranking on December 7.

It sold 42,000 copies in its first week of release. This is the first time it has topped the previous "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Blue Eyes of Casbal" (released in April 2015), which debuted at No. 2. The DVD version released at the same time also ranked second overall in the DVD ranking with first-week sales of 11,000 copies.

This is the second episode of the "Char Seira Arc" (4 episodes) depicting the childhood of Char Aznable, the Red Comet, and his sister Seira Mas. On the same day, the BD first-run limited edition will be on sale in advance and distributed for a fee.
