Ronja the Bandit's Daughter" is an animated film based on the fantasy novel "Ronja the Bandit's Daughter" by Astrid Lindgren, a Swedish author of children's literature whose best-known works include "Pippi in Long Ankles. The director is Goro Miyazaki, whose father is Hayao Miyazaki, a master of the animation world, and who has directed several animated films produced by Studio Ghibli, including "Gedo Senki" and "From Up on Poppy Hill. This is his first attempt at directing a TV series. Series composition is by Hiroyuki Kawasaki of "Mobile Neon Genesis Gundam X" and "Tsubasa Chronicle," and animation production is by Polygon Pictures. Studio Ghibli is participating as a production partner. Total of 26 episodes.
