Animated Film "Minions" BD Version Sold 45,000 Copies in First Week!　Highest weekly sales ever for the series, topping Oricon's overall ranking for the first time ever!

The BD version of the animated film "Minions," released on December 2, will take the overall top spot on the Oricon Weekly BD Ranking dated December 14.

It sold 45,000 copies in its first week of release. This film was released in July 2015 as the latest in the "Grue the Phantom Thief" series, and became the highest-grossing animated film in Hollywood, grossing over 5 billion yen in just over two months. It became the first BD of the "Grue the Phantom Thief" series to reach the top position overall, surpassing "Grue the Phantom Thief" (released in March 2011), which ranked 6th overall. It also greatly surpassed the first-week sales of "Gruesome Grooms' Minion Crisis" (March 17, 2014), which was 0.4 million copies.

The DVD version released on the same day also ranked fourth overall in the DVD ranking with first-week sales of 0.9 million copies. It ranked first in the animation DVD category.
