ONE PIECE shows a special video before "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" starts its main feature!　Luffy and his friends give a shout out!

From the animated film "ONE PIECE FILM GOLD," which will be released on July 23, 2016, it was announced that a special video will be screened to give a shout-out to "Star Wars.

Following "ONE PIECE FILM STRONG WORLD," which was released on December 12, 2009 and grossed 4.8 billion yen, and "ONE PIECE FILM Z," which was released on December 15, 2012 and grossed 6.87 billion yen, this is an original theatrical film of "ONE PIECE". Eiichiro Oda, the author of the original story, will participate as general producer, Hiroaki Miyamoto, the third series director of the TV series, will direct, and Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who worked on "Mystery Solved After Dinner" and "LIAR GAME," will write the script.

To celebrate the worldwide release on December 18 of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," the first new "Star Wars" masterpiece in 10 years since 2005's "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith," a special video will be shown featuring Luffy and his friends giving a shout-out. The special video will be shown before the main feature of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" begins, exclusively at TOHO Cinemas and T-JOY theaters (*excluding some locations). This is the first ever collaborative project that transcends the boundaries of film companies and productions, with the straw crew going to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as a sign of respect. The video is sure to be a hit with fans, with Zoro holding a lightsaber-style glowing sword, Chopper wearing a Jedi-style robe, and Usopp's mouth uttering the line "I am your father," reminiscent of that character.
