Gourmet/cooking anime "Shokugeki no Soma" to produce second season, a sequel!　In February 2016, the event "Shokugeki! Maihama Festival" will be held in February 2016.

A decision to produce a second season of the TV anime "Shokugeki no Soma" has been announced.

Shokugeki no Soma" is an anime work based on a manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (original story: Yuto Tsukita, Shun Saeki, cooperation: Tomonori Morisaki). Set in a prestigious culinary school, it depicts the struggles of the main character, the son of a popular diner. The original work features the cooperation of Yuki Morisaki, a well-known cookery researcher who is too beautiful for her own good, for cooking ideas, etc., as well as the sexy tasting reactions of the female characters. The anime version is directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani of the "TIGER & BUNNY the Movie" series, with series composition by Shogo Yaskawa of "Terraformers" fame, and character design by Tomoyuki Shimotani of the "Bakuman. series, character design by Tomoyuki Shimotani, and animation production by J.C. STAFF.

The second season of the TV anime, which will be a sequel, will be produced this time. Details have not yet been announced, but some new information will be announced at the "Shokugeki! Maihama Festival" on February 28, 2016, some new information is expected to be revealed.

In addition to this, a stage event featuring voice actors will be held at "Jump Festa 2016" at Makuhari Messe on December 19-20.
