Spring Anime "Ace Attorney" Announces Staff and Cast! Cast includes Hiroki Kaji and Aoi Yuki

The staff and cast have been announced for the TV anime "Ace Attorney," which will start in April 2016.



This is an anime adaptation of the courtroom battle adventure game series "Ace Attorney" by Capcom. In the original game, the player is a defense attorney for a defendant accused of a crime he did not commit, who solves the mystery of the case based on inconsistencies in the investigation and testimony, and wins an acquittal in court. The game has gained popularity for its well-crafted scenario and unique characters, and has been adapted into various media mixes, including a stage version by the Takarazuka Revue and a live-action film.

The animated version will be broadcast on terrestrial television from April 2016, and the staff and cast have been revealed. It will be directed by Ayumi Watanabe, director of the "Doraemon" series and "Space Brothers"; series composition by Atsuhiro Tomioka, director of "Pokémon" and "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo R"; character design by Keiko Ota; music by Kaoru Wada; and animation production by A-1 Pictures. The cast includes Yuki Kaji as Ryuichi Narihodo, Aoi Yuuki as Mayoi Ayasato, Masashi Tamaki as Reiji Miken, Chie Nakamura as Chihiro Ayasato, Seimi Iwasaki as Keisuke Itokogi, and Toru Nara as Masashi Yabari.


The program will be broadcast on Saturday evenings at 5:30 p.m. in early April on Yomiuri TV and other channels.
