The results of the "2016 Winter Anime Expectations Popularity Poll" were announced!　GATE" came in first, "Snow White with Red Hair" second, and "Forhythm Beyond the Blue" third!

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" conducted the "2016 Winter Anime Expectations Popularity Poll" from December 9 to December 23, 2015. Here are the results of the poll.



This project asked people to vote for their favorite works among the 39 TV anime that will start airing from January to February 2016 (*as of December 9, 2015). As expected, sequels and series titles showed a strong presence, but new works received an even number of votes, indicating a high level of interest in "first try to watch".

Of note is the similarity between No. 1 "GATE: Self Defense Force, This Land, Fighting" and No. 2 "Snow White with Red Hair," both ofwhich aired in the summer of 2015. Both received high ratings for the first cool that aired in the summer of 2015, with "GATE" and "Snow White with Red Hair" receiving satisfaction ratings of 4.07 and 4.33, respectively, in the "Anipota" review. Since "GATE" and "Snow White with Red Hair" attracted viewers in the first season, it is likely that they will continue to attract a high level of attention even after the broadcast. The number of TV animation series adopting the so-called "split two-cour" format has been on the increase in recent years, which has been the basis for the creation of popular titles such as "Fate/Zero," "Fate/stay night" and "Seraph of the End.

Meanwhile, the new "Ao no Kanata no Forhythm " ranked in third place. The original adult game by sprite, which gave birth to "Love, Election, and Chocolate," has already garnered enthusiastic support, winning the grand prize at the "Moe Game Awards 2014. However, the game is not only focused on romance and adult elements, but is also a coming-of-age drama about beautiful girls who compete in the "flying circus," a sport that takes place in the sky, so it has a wide audience beyond fans of the original work and bishojo anime. If it can meet the high expectations, the fan base will expand even further.
