Arpeggio of Aoki Steel announces the dissolution of the voice acting unit "Trident" in Yokosuka, Japan! The last album will be released and the last live concert will be held.
Trident has been announced to be dissolved from the anime "Aoki Kogei no Arpeggio -Ars Nova-".
Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-" is an anime work based on "Arpeggio of Blue Steel," a marine science fiction war story manga serialized in the monthly magazine Young King Awards. The story is set in a world where the sudden appearance of the "Fog Armada," a group of warships from World War II equipped with superweapons that humans could not possess, has taken control of the seas. The main character, a cadet, and his friends fight the "Fog Armada" aboard the I401, a submarine that has joined the human side. The first film version is a reconstruction of the TV series with new episodes (approximately 40 minutes long) and a new character, the "Fog Student Council," and the second is a completely new version.
The voice actress unit "Trident" (Mai Fuchigami, Aimi Numakura, Hibiki Yamamura), which sang the theme song for "Arpeggio Ars Nova: Cadenza the Movie," has decided to disband. The girls have released one single, two mini-albums, and one full-length album, and have been active in live performances such as at the Maihama Amphitheater in March 2015 and at the Shinagawa Stellar Ball for two days in September, but the end of their activities was announced at an event held at the Yokosuka Art Theater. The following is the report.
Their last album "BLUE" will be released on February 17, 2016, and their last live "Thank you for your "BLUE"" will be held on April 3 at Makuhari Messe. The first limited edition of the last album will be produced in a limited number of 10,000 copies, and will include the PV of "Blue Field ~Finale~", which was newly recorded by inviting participants as a "certain video", the 2nd live video (2 songs), a making-of video following the band's activities to date, "The Miracle of Trident ~Prologue A BD containing "The Miracle of Trident: Prologue" will be included in the package.
On Saturday, December 19, "Arpeggio Ars Nova" "Blue Field" -Finale- was held at the Yososuka Art Theater. It had been two years since the last live performance of character songs, "Blue Field," was held during the broadcast of the TV series.
Performers included Trident <Iona (CV: Mai Fuchigami), Takao (CV: Aimi Numakura), Haruna (CV: Hibiki Yamamura)>, Blue Steels <Gunzo Chihaya (CV: Kazuyuki Okitsu), Monk Oribe (CV: Shinobu Matsumoto), Kyouhei Kashihara (CV: Eiji Miyashita)>, Fog Student Association <Hiei (CV: M・A・O), Myoukou (CV: Ayaka Fukuhara), Nana (CV: Naomi Nakamura) (CV: Ayaka Fukuhara), Nachi (CV: Satomi Sato), Ashigara (CV: Suzuko Mimori), Haguro (CV: Hiromi Igarashi)), Hyuga (CV: Saki Fujita), Kirishima (CV: Yumi Uchiyama), April 1st Iori (CV: Minami Tsuda), August 1st Shizu (CV: Nao Higashiyama), Gyobu Makie (CV: Sayuri Hara), and Nano, who sang the theme and insert songs for the TV series and the movie version, took the stage as secret guests.
As the event was titled "~Finale~," it was the last time all the cast members appeared at once, but the energetic stage performance made it seem as if this was not the case. The cast performed a combination of songs from the "Blue Field" Character Songs Vol. 2, a character song album released just before the release of "Cadenza," as well as songs from their roles in the film. The members of the "Foggy Student Council," new characters from the movie version, appeared in front of the audience for the first time and performed together.
Trident, who has successfully performed solo live twice before, showed their high level of experience with a performance that put a smile on the audience's face and sang to their hearts' content. During the curtain call, the cast members shared their memories and feelings with the fans, and the event concluded with a rousing rendition of "Blue Field," the ending theme song of the TV series, with all the cast members appearing on stage.
After the show, it was announced that the BD/DVD of "Arpeggio Ars Nova Cadenza the Movie" would be released on March 25, 2016, and that the first disc would include a video of the performance.
The audience screamed when it was announced that Trident would disband after their live at Makuhari Messe Event Hall on April 3. It was also announced that their last full album "BLUE" would be released on February 17. The album will include a priority application ticket for the concert.
Comment from Mai Fuchigami
I want to make this day the most memorable of my time with Trident! I want to cry and laugh with all my might... I want to make this the best stage I can, with no regrets at any moment.
Aimi Numakura comment
Thanks to your help, Trident will advance to the next stage. This is the last stage that we will put everything we have into. I hope you can witness our performance.
Hibiki Yamamura comment
Each and every support from everyone has become a path that has led us to this point. I will do my best to express my gratitude.
