Love Live the Movie! BD topped Oricon's overall sales chart with 194,000 copies in its first week!　4th highest first-week sales of all-time for anime BDs, following Ana-Snow and Eva!

The School Idol Movie" BD special limited edition, released on December 15, will top the Oricon Weekly BD Ranking on December 28.

The first week of sales was 194,000 copies. As "Love Live! has become the seventh BD to top the Oricon BD Ranking after 13 months since the limited edition of the second season of the TV anime, Volume 6 (released in November 2014). It is also the highest first-week sales ever, far surpassing the 82,000 copies sold in the first week of the limited edition of the first volume of the second season of the TV anime (released in June 2014).

Furthermore, since the BD ranking began in July 2008, it has become the 4th highest first-week sales record for an anime work (including theatrical version, TV anime, and OVA). Incidentally, the No. 1 BD of all time is "Anna and the Snow Queen" (released in July 2014, 1,514,000 copies sold in the first week), the No. 2 BD of all time is "Evangelion: 2.22 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE." (released in May 2010, 357,000 copies sold in the first week), and the No. 3 BD of all time is " EVANGELION: Q EVANGELION: 3.33 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO." (released in April 2013, first week sales 313,000 copies), and "Baymax" (released in April 2015, first week sales 161,000 copies) in fifth place.

The School Idol Movie" BD special limited edition includes an application ticket for the first advance lottery for tickets to μ's Final LoveLive! 's original song CD containing a new song by μ's is also included.
