Osomatsu-san" is an original anime produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the late Fujio Akatsuka's birth. Based on "Osomatsu-kun," a gag comic published by Fujio Akatsuka in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1962 that became an explosive hit, "Osomatsu-san" depicts a future where the six children have grown up. The film has become a popular title for its over-the-top gags and parodies, the portrayal of the six children's diverse personalities, and the use of popular male voice actors. Directed by Yoichi Fujita of "Gintama" fame, character design by Naoyuki Asano, series composition by Shu Matsubara, and animation production by studio Piero. Total of 26 episodes.
