Shogi anime "March Lion" to start on NHK Sogo in Fall 2016!　Produced by Akiyuki Shinbo and Shaft

Broadcasting of the TV anime "March Lion" is set to begin in the fall of 2016. The staff was also announced.

March Lion" is an anime work based on the manga series published in Young Animal since 2007 by Chika Umino, who is well known for "Hachimitsu to Clover," which has also been made into a TV anime. In addition to the TV anime adaptation, a live-action movie has also been decided.

The broadcast will begin in the fall of 2016 and will be broadcast on NHK General TV. The staff has also been announced. Akiyuki Shinbo will direct, and Shaft will be in charge of animation production. In conjunction with this, a comment from the original author, Chika Umino, was announced in the January 8, 2016 issue of Young Animal.
