Chunichi GM Hiromitsu Ochiai's eldest son regularly appears in the anime "Grimgal of Ashes and Illusions," and voice actor comments have arrived! A spin-off manga series will also be serialized!
Voice actor comments from the TV anime "Grimgal of Ashes and Illusions," which will start in January, have been announced.
Grimgal of Ashes and Fantasy" is an anime work based on the light novel by Ao Jumonji. It is a fantasy work depicting a protagonist who has no memory and struggles to survive in the world of Grimgaru, a world he suddenly wandered into, The animation is produced by A-1 Pictures, and the main cast includes Fukutsugu Ochiai, the eldest son of Hiromitsu Ochiai, GM of the Chunichi Dragons, who won three triple crowns as a player and has been working as a voice actor for Aoni Productions since April 2015.
Comments from the voice actors have now arrived from the recording studio. They talk about their impressions of playing the characters and the highlights of the work. The synopsis of the first episode "Whispering, Chanting, Praying, Awake," as well as some preceding scene photos have also been released. In addition, on the official website, a spin-off four-panel manga "Tabigobu: Ashes to Gensetsu no Grimgaru Ibun" will start serializing after the first broadcast on January 10, focusing on the monster "Goblin," which is a key character in the work. The loose and lukewarm daily lives of three goblins who set out on a journey in search of freedom are depicted by Okuhashi Mutsumi of the manga version of "Grimgal of Ashes and Illusions.
Yoshimasa Hosoya (Haruhiro)
--What are your impressions of playing the character and what are the highlights of the work?
(At the time of commenting, only the first episode has been recorded, so not many words come to mind.) I thought it was very interesting that it was not a royal fantasy, but an ordinary person suddenly thrown into the world of Grimgal one day and living a survival life with no setting. If you attack, your opponent gets hurt; if you are too hungry, you starve to death; if you lose the fight, there is no reward; if you lose the exchange of life, there is no future. This is a story of "modern" young people trying to survive in the world of Grimgal, where they have to work hard to survive. In everyday life, we all probably have moments when we think we are acting on our own initiative, but before we know it, we become passive, start to get caught up in the things around us, and live "somehow," letting the current take us by surprise. I thought that this work questioned what it means to live by placing ordinary young people in an unusual world.
--Message to those who are going to see the film
What would happen if I were the one who was called into the world of Grimgal? I thought after finishing the recording of the first episode that it might be more enjoyable if you could watch it while vaguely imagining such things. As the story progresses, various developments will occur, so please keep your eyes peeled for them! I will try my best to live my life as Haruhiro in the story.
Hiroyuki Yoshino (Lanta)
--How do you feel about playing the character and what are the highlights of the work?
I have a feeling that Lanta will be a troublemaker. I hope he will be a good spice to the story.
--Message to the audience
I hope you enjoy the warmth of the work and the seriousness of the reality of the world.
Nobunaga Shimazaki (Manato)
--How do you feel about playing the character and what are the highlights of the work?
I was immediately drawn into the world of "Grimgal" because of its wonderful atmosphere and atmosphere of the novel and anime. The characters struggle desperately to survive in the world of "Grimgal. It is not a heroic tale, but a life-sized character trying hard to survive in this world, which I think is the highlight of this work. During the recording, I could feel that the characters were living in that world, and it made my heart dance. I play Manato, the leader and organizer of the group, a very dependable man who is caring and dynamic. I wanted to give my all to play the role of this seemingly perfect man who is lost, worried, thinking, feeling, and struggling to survive.
--Message to those who are going to see the show
I will do my best to make the world of "Grimgaru" and its characters a work that will make fans of the original work and new viewers alike fall in love with it. Please watch them live their lives until the end.
Fukutsugu Ochiai (Mogzo)
--How do you feel about playing the character and what are the highlights of the work?
The first thing that struck me when I played Mogzo was his size. Moguzo is big and strong. He is calm and doesn't talk much, but I think he is an important character who acts as a big wall to protect the party members. He is also a good cook, so I feel very close to him because I love to cook and eat. I am very excited to be in Grimgal and wonder what kind of trials and adventures await me.
--Message to those who are going to see the film
This work is set in a fantasy world, but at the same time it is very realistic in many ways. So I hope you can find something in this work that you can relate to. I think you will enjoy this work even more if you can find something in it that you can relate to. Also, Mogzo has just arrived in the world of Grimgal and is at the "1" level. I hope I can grow together with Mogzo, so please give my best regards to him.
Mikako Komatsu (Yume)
--How do you feel about playing the character and what are the highlights of the work?
Yume is a girl who speaks in a natural and mild Kansai dialect, so I was careful not to use the Kansai dialect in the first postrecording. One of the themes of this work is the realism that exists within fantasy, and I was very surprised and fascinated by the unprecedented perspectives.
--Message to those who are going to see the film
I had no idea that the world in the games I used to play as a matter of course was so severe! Welcome to such a fantasy world. Please look forward to seeing what kind of fantasy story will unfold.
Haruka Terui (Yume)
--How do you feel about playing the character and what are the highlights of the work?
The vivid life of Haruhiro and his friends depicted in the beautiful images and music... During the recording of the first episode, I felt as if I had entered into this world. In the delicately spun world, Sihor is carrying very delicate emotions. Her every movement and facial expression conveys her own intentions, and I put my heart into delivering the voice of a life-size Sifol.
--Message to those who are going to see the film
This is a work that will easily enter the hearts of those who have seen it.
