Akiba Koho" is an irregular column introducing PC parts and digital gadgets that the Akiba Research Institute staff found interesting during interviews.
Tesla Watch, a quartz wristwatch with a vacuum tube-like light and steampunk design, is now on sale at Jan-gle Akihabara.
The Tesla Watch is an analog wristwatch featuring two vacuum tube-style lights. The vacuum tube-style lights have a red LED inside, which can be turned on with a switch on the top of the watch. When illuminated in a dark place, the watch looks as if it is powered by a vacuum tube.
T he dial is a two-hand type with only hour and minute hands, but an independent small seconds hand (second hand) is placed in the upper left corner like an instrument, creating a steampunk world view. Furthermore, the watch is set to the time using a key that comes with the watch.
If you are impressed by this design, why don't you pick one up?
The price is 12,960 yen (tax included).
