Disney/Pixar's latest film "Arlo and the Boy" features Kiroro's classic "Best Friend" as the ED theme song! First new recording source in 15 years

Kiroro's "Best Friend" has been announced as the ending theme song for the Japanese version of the animated film "Arlo and the Boy," which will be released on March 12.

Arlo and the Boy" is a new animated film from Disney/Pixar, best known for its worldwide hit "Toy Story" series." What if a meteorite hadn't hit Earth and the dinosaurs hadn't gone extinct?" The film is an adventure fantasy set on an Earth where Arlo, a wimpy dinosaur who is separated from his beloved family, embarks on an epic adventure to return home to his family.

The song was originally released in June 2001 as the theme song for the NHK TV series "Churasan" and has become a popular theme song for weddings and graduation ceremonies. Even after 15 years, the song is still popular among people of all ages as a standard song for weddings and graduation ceremonies. Here are their comments.

Kiroro Chiharu Tamaki (vocalist)
I am very honored to be chosen as the Japanese end song for "Arlo and the Boy". I think my children will be surprised to hear our music in a Disney/Pixar movie! "When "Best Friend" was created, I had a sore throat and could no longer sing. I remember my heart was broken and every day was a struggle. Aya and my manager were always next to me encouraging me, saying that even if I couldn't speak, I could convey my feelings just as you do. Fifteen years have passed since then, and Kiroro has started singing again while having and raising children. When I hit a wall in my life and feel that I am not alone, I sometimes feel more powerful than ever. Through this film, I, who will soon be 40 years old, feel that I need to face my fears and my weaknesses once again. I would like people to feel in their hearts through this film that we all have the power to overcome many obstacles in the future, and that the view we will see afterwards will be wonderful. If you are with someone, that power will be even stronger.I hope you will be able to see the wonderful scenery with someone like that.

I myself grew up with many Disney/Pixar movies and Disney films. I went to see "Inside Head" with my oldest daughter and was happy to be able to talk with her about it, and my two younger boys have learned many things from the movie! So I am very happy that the song for the Japanese version of "Arlo and the Boy" has been chosen, and I can't stop being excited and thrilled that this film will bring joy to the hearts of everyone in Japan and around the world. I cried because I could see my own children growing stronger and tougher through the adventures of the main character Arlo! We also support each other to get to where we are today. This film reminded me of the days we overcame together. We were inspired by the rich and beautiful natural landscape of the earth in the film, and also by the fact that we are now mothers and have newly recorded "Best Friend" for the first time in 15 years, so we decided to title the film "Best Friend ~Mother Earth Version~"! The title "Best Friend ~Mother Earth Version~" was chosen because we became mothers and recorded "Best Friend" for the first time in 15 years! In the movie "Arlo and the Boy," the images and music are depicted as one of the characters, so I think the arrangement and finish of the song fit the world of the movie. We will perform with all our hearts to reach the hearts of adults and children all over Japan!

We are very honored to have Kiroro's classic song "Best Friend" as the end song for the Japanese version of "Arlo and the Boy". Not only does this song perfectly match the touching theme of the film, "Finding and nurturing true friendship," but it also reminds me of the main characters of the film, "Arlo and the Boy Spot. To tell you the truth, when I heard this song, it brought back memories of my own precious days with my dearest friends. It was a real pleasure to work with such talented artists.

Arlo and the Boy," the latest Disney/Pixar film, is a touching adventure fantasy about the miraculous friendship between Arlo, a big but wimpy dinosaur, and Spot, a small but brave boy, set on an Earth where dinosaurs did not become extinct due to a meteorite strike. The lyrics of Kiroro's famous song "Best Friend" are exactly the same as in the film, I felt that the lyrics of Kiroro's famous song "Best Friend" were exactly what the song was about: Spot, the boy who stands by Arlo and watches over him tenderly, and the bond between the two of them as they work together to move forward. "He was always smiling and whispering to me when I was about to cry, telling me it's going to be all right, that I don't have to worry anymore" "Sometimes I'm in such a hurry that I lose him, but I can't help it, I'll always watch over him," he smiled and hugged me like he always does. "--these lyrics, filled with love for a dear friend, remind me of Arlo and Spot, and of my own dear friends. We have decided to use "Best Friend" as the end song for the Japanese version of the film, hoping that by listening to it at the end of the film, the story of Arlo and Spot will be deeply engraved in your hearts. We hope that the excitement of the film will reach the people of Japan with "Best Friend," which has been sung as the definitive song of friendship.
