Isobe Isobe Monogatari - Ukiyo wa Tsuraiyo" is based on the manga series published in Weekly Shonen Jump by Ryo Nakama. The gag manga, which depicts the daily life of Isobe Isobe, a young man attending a samurai school in Edo, in the style of ukiyoe, is animated as a 30-second short animation called "mame-anime" (not a book of beans, but an animation of beans). Directed by Mankyu and produced by Gathering.

Distribution began on December 12 on GYAO! and dTV, and broadcast information on other media has been released. In theaters, the film will be screened during intermission commercials at 25 SMT movie theaters, including Shinjuku Piccadilly and MOVIX theaters around Japan. It will also be aired "somewhere (occasionally)" on TV.

In addition, the main story "Isobe Isobe de tadasyo" is also available on the official anime website. New works will be distributed through various media in the future.
