The visual and trailer for the live-action film version of "Chinyuuki," which will be released in theaters on February 27, have been released.


The film is based on the manga "Chin-Yuki: Taro and His Wonderful Friends" by Man☆Gataro, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1990. This live-action adaptation of the legendary gag manga series, which has sold a total of approximately 4 million copies, stars Kenichi Matsuyama, who is known for his excellent performances as such quirky characters as L from "Death Note," John Krauser II from "Detroit Metal City" and Hiroshi from "Donegai Toad. Directed by Kenichi Matsuyama, who also directed "Jigoku Koshien" and "Kai! Cromartie High School THE☆MOVIE" and "Gekijoban Elite Yankee Saburo. Produced by DLE.

The film will be released on February 27 at Shinjuku Wald 9 and other theaters, and the visual and trailer have been unveiled. <Story
Genjo (Kurashina Kana), a monk on a journey to Jersey, is asked by his grandfather (Tayama Ryosei) and grandmother (Sasano Takashi) to rehabilitate Yamada Taro (Pierre Taki), a juvenile delinquent, when they stop by his house by chance. But he reluctantly takes in Taro (Kenichi Matsuyama), and for some unknown reason, they end up traveling together... Will they make it to Jersey in one piece (no, they won't!)? Can they make it to Jersey safely (no, they can't!)?
