AKINO's high tone enlivens Daihachi! New single including the OP of "Activ Raid"!

AKINO with bless 4, which has had hits with numerous anime tie-up songs, including "Genesis of AQUARION," has released a new single, "Golden Life," an OP for the TV anime "Activ Raid: Mobile Assault Room Section 8.

and "OVERNIGHT REVOLUTION", the OP of Sega Networks' smartphone game "Blue Sky Rebellion". In addition to AKINO, her sister KANASA, a member of bless4, also appeared in the interview. They talked about the appeal of each song with smiles on their faces.

Everyone in Daihachi and bless4 have something in common.

AKINO: "Activision Raid - Mobile Assault Room No. 8" is an anime in which the main characters show unconventional activities that are not unlike those of the police, and the opening theme song "Golden Life" is just as vigorous.

AKINO It's a song about the adventure of traveling through life. The rhythm is fast and makes you wonder what is going to happen.　I think the lyrics are also very good, as the title says, "Find your own 'Golden Life'.

KANASA "Golden Life" means "a glorious life" or "a life to aim for. I thought it was a great title that combined these two impressive words. In my life, I am the main character, and I want to shine, and AKINO wants to shine too. Everyone has the desire to win a golden prize in their own life, so I think everyone can relate to it.

AKINO I think the golden life you want to achieve is different for each person. I would like to encourage people to work hard toward their own goals with this song.

─ The theme of the lyrics is to challenge yourself even if you fail, without being bound by common sense.

AKINO I also feel motivated when I sing the song. As adults, we tend to think of reasons why we cannot work hard toward our goals due to various circumstances, so like this song, I would like to go back to my childhood and do it with the feeling of "bye-bye common sense.

─ ─ And then, "Dive into the wild side".

AKINO Yes, like a child (laughs).

─ ─ It is interesting that such a song is the theme song of an anime featuring a police officer.

AKINO Everyone in Daihachi (Mobile Assault Room Section 8) is mischievous (laughs). In that sense, I think both the lyrics and the music fit the world of the anime.

───What did you think when you saw "Activ Raid" on air?

AKINO The fight scenes were cool and the characters were all very strong. Sena, who doesn't talk much with everyone, is a mystery to me and I am wondering what she is thinking. Also, it's a work that depicts how well you get along with each other. They may clash with each other while on duty, but when the work is done, they all get along just like in bless4. We also sometimes clash violently during production and live performances, but afterwards, when we have dinner together, we have a good time.

KANASA When we are eating good food, we all become silent (laughs).

AKINO Since we are always together, eating is more important than talking. Sometimes someone asks me, "Are you really close? But I tell them, "No, no, we are just concentrating on (eating)" (laughs).

(laughs). What did you pay attention to when recording vocals?

AKINO There were many high notes and difficult phrases, so I practiced many times. I had to be careful to sing powerfully or it wouldn't resonate with the audience.

KANASA The song is not only powerful, but also has ups and downs. There is a part where the song suddenly becomes soft and gentle, which is also very pleasant.
