The footage shows the scene before the wimpy Arlo is separated from his family, and the voice of Narumi Yasuda, who dubbed Arlo's mother in Japanese, is also unveiled. The actress's performance, in which she says she tried to express her mother's kindness, is also a highlight of the film.

Director Peter Sohn commented on the content of the film, "Arlo loves to have fun and is very determined. He is more passionate than his older siblings, especially when it comes to his desire to help his family. But Arlo is very scared, and that holds him back. But he wanted Arlo to realize that on his own. To do that, he needed to step out of his shell and take a journey of the mind to face his fears.
