Dragon Quest Builders: Resurrecting Alefgarde and other notable games on sale this week!

Here is a roundup of the hottest home video game software releases this week!

The first one is "Dragon Quest Builders: Resurrect Alefgard", a block-making RPG for PS4/PS3/PS Vita.

Dragon Quest Builders: Resurrect Alefgard" is a block-make RPG set in a darkened Alefgard, which begins when a hero says "Yes" to the Dark Lord's invitation, "If you become my servant, I will give you half the world.

There are two game modes: Story Mode, in which players explore Alefgard, a world made up of countless blocks, collect materials, build towns and castles, and aim to restore the devastated Alefgard and defeat the Dragon King; and Free Build Mode, in which players can freely build things on the "Unknown Island" that appears when they advance through Story Mode. The "Free Build Mode" allows players to enjoy building their own things on the "unknown island" that appears after advancing through the Story Mode.

In "Free Build Mode," players can obtain materials from continents cleared in Story Mode, or obtain new blueprints and recipes by battling legions of monsters on "Battle Island," where they engage in continuous battles with monsters. Furthermore, players can share their buildings with other players across the country via PlayStation Network.

The game has been selling very well at stores in Akihabara, as the previous reputation suggests. The PS Vita version is selling particularly well, perhaps due to the "Minecraft" boom among the younger generation. The game is a challenging title, so it is expected to remain popular for a long time to come.
