Galpan the Movie breaks the 1 billion yen mark in box-office revenue on its 71st day of release!　Military researchers will hold a talk event.

From the anime film "Girls und Panzer the Movie", it was announced that the box-office revenue exceeded 1 billion yen.

The original anime "Girls und Panzer," directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, depicts a heartwarming story with the theme of beautiful girls and tanks. The realistic depiction of tanks and numerous beautiful girl characters have been highly acclaimed, especially by anime and military fans. In July 2014, the OVA "Girls und Panzer: This is the real battle of Anzio! was screened in theaters in July 2014, and the first theater version of the anime film "Girls und Panzer: The Movie" was released in November.

It opened in 77 theaters on November 21 and has been a blockbuster hit, with box-office revenue surpassing 900 million yen on January 14, 55 days after its release, finally surpassing the 1 billion yen mark. On January 30, the 71st day of its release, it exceeded the 1 billion yen mark, and as of January 31, the cumulative attendance was 718,625 and the cumulative box-office revenue was 1,049,219,224 yen. The total number of theaters screening the film is 123 (*including theaters that have stopped showing the film).

A talk event will also be held on February 5. A military talk show (*longer than the usual stage greeting) will be held with a strong group of members, including Takaaki Suzuki (archaeologist and supervisor), Isaku Okabe (military critic), Kazuatsu Yoshikawa (Italian military researcher), and Nobuo Saiki (Finnish military researcher). In addition, a BD/CD release commemorative event of "Girls und Panzer Orchestra Concert -Herbest Musikfest 2015-" will be held on February 21.
