The TV anime "Assassination Classroom" (2nd season) is currently airing, and a report on the prayer ceremony held on January 26th to pray for students to pass the entrance exam has just arrived.

Assassination Classroom" is an anime work based on the manga series in "Weekly Shonen Jump" by Matsui Yusei of "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro" fame. The story follows a year in the life of "Kakushi Sensei," who becomes the homeroom teacher of "End no E class," a failing class of junior high school students with Mach 20 speed and enormous power and declares that he will destroy the earth, and the students who take on his assassination missions The first TV anime season aired from January to June 2015 and was a huge hit, winning the " Search Awards 2015" in the animation category.

The second season of the work has been airing since January 2016, and on January 26, a prayer ceremony was held at the Otori Shrine in Zoshigaya, which is dedicated to good luck and inviting good fortune. The ceremony was held to pray for students nationwide to pass the entrance examinations, and Kakusei himself offered a tamagushi (a small stick with a sacred object attached to it). In addition, from February 6, "Assassination Classroom: Kakusei SHOP Returns! in Odaiba, which will be open from February 6. Here is the report.

On January 26, blessed with mild winter weather, Kakusei visited Otori Shrine in Zoshigaya, which is known as a shrine of good luck and inviting good fortune, to hold a prayer ceremony to pray for the success of students taking entrance exams nationwide.

Otori Shrine has a 300-year history and is well known as a shrine dedicated to Ebisu-gami, one of the seven gods of good fortune in the "Seven Deities of Good Luck Tour," a tour of seven shrines in the Zoshigaya area. This time, a prayer ceremony was held at this shrine, as it is located along the Seibu Railway line, where a collaboration project with "Assassination Classroom" is underway to commemorate the start of the second season of the TV program.

The ceremony began in the solemn atmosphere of the temple, with Kakusei seated with a mysterious expression on his face as he was first exorcised. As the priest read the words of congratulation, he waved the purification stick from side to side to purify his body and mind. Normally, Kakusei is a bundle of worries, but on this occasion, he seemed to be concentrating desperately on purifying his body and mind for the sake of students preparing for the national entrance examination.
The Shinto priest then reads a prayer for academic achievement and success, and the bell in his hand is rang solemnly. The sound of the bell is said to be a means of sharing the divine virtues with the gods. At this point, Kakusei himself offers a tamagushi (skewer) to the gods, followed by two rounds of applause and a bow. The two clapping hands are, of course, tentacles. Bowing deeply, Kakitsusei put his whole heart and soul into praying to God that all students throughout Japan would pass their entrance exams to the schools of their choice without incident.
The entire picture of his prayer for success was displayed as a photo panel at the "Assassination Classroom Kakusei SHOP Returns! The "Assassination Classroom: Kakusei-sensei Shop Returns!" is currently being held at the Fuji Television Network's Hachitama spherical observation deck on the 25th floor of its Odaiba headquarters. In addition, special "Assassination Classroom" panels and posters will be on display, and a "Kakusei Shrine" will be set up at the venue. Please try to divine your fortune with Kakusei's grateful "fortune-telling".

In addition, a collaboration with Seibu Railway is currently underway to commemorate the second season of the series. The "KORO-TORAIN," a wrapped train that first appeared in April last year with a yellow Seibu Railway car and the character "Killing Sensei," has been redesigned and is now in operation.
In this collaborative project with Seibu Railway, a special admission ticket for students preparing for entrance exams, the "KORO-TORAIN Luck Prayer 'Success Prayer'" admission ticket, is now on sale. The tickets are on sale at four Seibu Railway stations (Ikebukuro, Irumashi, Seibu Shinjuku, and Tokorozawa), and a photo spot "Passing Prayer KORO Shrine" has been set up at Tokorozawa Station. There is also a "Passing Prayer Stamp" designed by Kakusei Sensei, so please visit this shrine and receive blessings for academic success from Kakusei Sensei.
