Osomatsu-san" announces details of various collaborative events, including the Valentine's Day project "LOVE Matsu-san! Neat six children will also have work experience!

Details of various collaborative events, including Valentine's Day, have been announced for the TV anime "Osomatsu-san" currently airing on TV.

Osomatsu-san" is an original anime created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the late Fujio Akatsuka's birth. Based on "Osomatsu-kun," a gag manga published by Fujio Akatsuka in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1962 that became an explosive hit, "Osomatsu-san" depicts a future where the six children have grown up. The series has become a popular title thanks to its aggressive gags and parodies, portrayal of the six children's diverse personalities, and use of popular male voice actors, and has been in its second season since January.

Details of the various collaboration events have now been unveiled. First, the collaboration with Shibuya Parco will be held from February 13 to 29 as a Valentine's Day event called "LOVE Matsu-san. Goods sales and exhibitions will be held at a special venue on the 8th floor of PART1 (*There are conditions for admission, so please check the special website). During the period, goods using newly-drawn illustrations will be available, and if you find and photograph Esper Nyanko hidden inside Shibuya Parco, you can get a sticker at the designated corner in Village Vanguard on the 6th floor. Also, on the 14th only, "LOVE Matsusan picture pattern cookies" will be distributed.

Search for "Osomatsu-san" and the search results will be changed to the designs of the six children. In addition, by tapping the "Kisekae" button, the search page background, search button, and other page designs can be changed to "Osomatsu-san" specifications. The service will be available from 11:00 a.m. on February 17. From mid-April, a collaboration with Oedo Onsen Monogatari, a hot spring theme park in Odaiba, will begin. Under the title of "Onsen Matsusan (tentative)," collaboration goods and food will be sold. In addition, there will be a fair game with limited items as prizes.

In addition, the six children, who are NEETs, will work with TV Tokyo's banana employee, Nanana-san. Illustrations depicting the situation will be made into goods, and appearances at events are also planned. The following is an interview with Nana-san and Aya Endo, who plays the role of Totoko, the singer of the second cool ED theme song.

 TV Tokyo's banana employee, Nanana-san
--First of all, please introduce yourself and tell us frankly how you feel about the collaboration!
I am Nana Nana, a banana employee of TV Tokyo. I am Nanana, a banana employee of TV Tokyo, and I am looking forward to working with you! When I first heard that we were going to collaborate with Osomatsu-san! I was so excited that I couldn't sleep at night. Actually, Nana is still an employee in residence...so when I found out that the Osomatsu brothers are NEETs, I felt a sense of affinity with them on my own. Every day I work hard to practice my shapeshifting poses in order to be as close to "Osomatsu-san" as possible. I will not forget my duties as a banana employee of TV Tokyo, and I will do my best to enjoy the collaboration.
--Can you tell us a little more about the details of the collaboration?
The six children will have "work experience" at a TV station together with NANANA. Who will be in charge of what job? Will they come up with a signature pose like Nanana's 7 poses? And so on... Enjoy watching them at work!
--The "7 poses" are the same as Nanana's 7 poses. So, the six children will be in charge of some kind of work in the bureau. I'm a little worried...but I'm looking forward to it! By the way...what do you think of "Osomatsu-san" to be honest?
It airs on TV Tokyo, and I love it without any favoritism! I work as Nanana everyday thinking, "Isn't there anything interesting going on? I would love to stay here as Nana-Matsu and go to Chibita's oden shop with everyone! I would love to go to Chibita's Oden restaurant with everyone!
--Who would be your "rivals"?
Everyone is so attractive and interesting that I am afraid to call them my rivals.... However, I am aware of Jyushimatsu because of the yellow connection! I admire Jyushimatsu's energy.

 Aya Endo as Totoko
--This time, Totoko is the main character in the ED. What was your first impression?
When I first heard about it, I thought it would be a song about scales. The one with "Ika wa ichiruppai" (note: performed in episode 4 and other episodes). I thought I was going to sing that one in full.... But when I looked at the lyrics, it seems that's not the case (laughs). The lyrics were similar to those of Iyami's song, but the tune was cooler. It was totally different from what I had imagined at first, which was surprising.
--Anyway, the lyrics were full of the Totoko feeling, weren't they?
That's right. When I calmly checked the lyrics, I found that she was being very selfish and pretending to be a cute girl.
--And then there was "I don't mind if you make fun of me" and so on.
I'm sure she's just being honest (laughs). That's just like TOTOKO.
--In that sense, was it easy for you to sing as Totoko?
I don't know. The lyrics were in the form of lines, so I felt like I was expressing my feelings toward the six children rather than singing. In the middle of the song, her attitude changes and in the end, she sings, "Let me make the 'handsome guy' come true! Please let me make my dream come true! (laughs).
--(Laughs) - I guess it was more like a recording session than a song.
I guess we are so close that we can say so much about the six children even in the songs. I guess they are already rotten friends.
--Lastly, I would like to ask you about what to listen to in this song!
There is a proper setting for No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3, and that's what makes it interesting. So rather than just listening to No. 2, I think it would be better if you listen to the song from No. 1 in order, so you can understand the whole story of the song. I was also struck by phrases such as "sotonkai," which are the same as the lyrics of the "Iyami" song. I was struck by the fact that they are not different songs at all. I hope people will listen to the elaborate parts of the song.
