Spring Anime "My Hero Academia" Announces Casting of Eijiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari! Two mood-makers and two silly characters.

New additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime "My Hero Academia," which will start in April.

My Hero Academia" is an anime work based on the manga series published in Weekly Shonen Jump by Kohei Horikoshi. Set in a world where 80% of the world's population has some kind of idiosyncrasy, the story follows the protagonist, who has no idiosyncrasy of any kind, as he aims to become a hero against criminals who abuse his idiosyncrasy. The original series has sold more than 2 million copies in its first year of serialization and has become a "Jump Royal Road" series with its strong message and unique characters. Directed by Kenji Nagasaki, series composition by Yosuke Kuroda, character design by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and animation production by BONES.

The new cast members and character sketches were unveiled this time. Toshiki Masuda plays Eijiro Kirishima, a hot-blooded man whose motto is "manliness" and who has a "hardening" personality that stiffens his entire body, and Yu Hatanaka plays Denki Kaminari, a lighthearted and flirtatious character with a "charging" personality that discharges electricity from his body. Here are some comments from the cast

Toshiki Masuda as Eijiro Kirishima
I was happy when I was chosen to participate in this project because I have personally enjoyed the serialization of the manga in JUMP. He was an interesting and pleasant guy to play! I will be playing the role of Eijiro Kirishima with all my might!

Yu Hatanaka as Denki Kaminari
Denki Kaminari. I think the biggest challenge in playing Denki Kaminari is "How much of an idiot can I be? I myself have often been called an idiot or a fool like Denki Kaminari. I wonder if I will be able to add to that stupidity, give it my all, and then short-circuit and become even more of an idiot! I am really looking forward to it now. I'm already happy to be involved in this work! I'm so excited! It's going to be great!
