Indian restaurant "Jai Hind", which had been highly rated for its Indian curry, closed at the end of January.


The reason for the closure is due to "urban redevelopment by Chiyoda Ward.



This redevelopment project is the "Kanda Neribecho Area Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project" in which Sumitomo Real Estate is participating as a landowner and a participating association member. The project aims to integrate approximately 0.5 ha of land in the district and to make high-level use of the land through the joint use of buildings. The total project cost is approximately 22.2 billion yen.


The facility to be constructed will have 20 stories above ground and 2 below, with a height of approximately 112 meters and a total area of approximately 30,795 square meters. The facility will be used for residences (34 units), stores, and offices. Public facilities to be installed include a plaza (approximately 680 square meters) and a public square (approximately 190 square meters). construction is scheduled to begin in June 2016 and to be completed in October 2018.
