The ramen restaurant Aoshima Shokudo Akihabara will be closed from February 21 to March 15.
Aoshima Shokudo opened in July 2009 in the Showa-dori area, near Asakusabashi.
It has attracted attention as the Tokyo branch of a popular restaurant that operates mainly in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. Contrary to its dark-colored appearance, the restaurant has gained popularity for its ginger-flavored soup and large portions of off-cuts of chashu (pork).
Currently, there appears to be a notice on the storefront stating that the restaurant is scheduled to reopen on March 16, correcting the " indefinite closure from February 21 " notice.
[addendum].
The restaurant appears to have reopened for business on March 13. However, the price of each ramen has been raised by 30 yen. The prices of toppings for 50 yen more and toppings for 100 yen more remain unchanged (decrease in quantity?). Arrived at @RyokanRyokan on March 13, 2012.

Aoshima chashu pork, more chashu pork.
Nagaoka-style ginger soy sauce ramen.
Heard it was scheduled to be back from 3/16 but reopened yesterday as a thank you!
It's hard work, sis! You can't see the noodles with the chashu pork. pic.twitter.com/usTIiCtNRH
