Report on the opening day greetings for "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled", Chapter 5 (final chapter)! Staff talk shows will be held for 5 consecutive days!

From the anime "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled," a report on the first day of the stage greeting for the fifth and final chapter, "Aishikimonotachihe," which began showing in theaters on February 6, has arrived.

Code Geass Akito the Exiled" is the latest work set in the period between the first and second seasons of the "Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion" anime series, and is being screened in theaters in five chapters: Chapter 1 "Tsubasa Ryu ha Mitaita" in August 2012, Chapter 2 "Torn by the Dragon Wings" in September 2013, Chapter 3 "Shining Things Chapter 3, "The Shining One," was released on May 2, 2015, and Chapter 4, "From the Memory of Hatred," was released on July 4, 2015, and the production of Chapter 5 (the final chapter) has become so exciting that an additional chapter has been urgently decided.

The first day of the fifth (and final) chapter will be held on February 6 at Shinjuku Wald 9. Miyu Irino (playing Akito Hyuga), Masaya Matsukaze (playing Shin Huga Scheing), Takuatsu Terashima (playing Ashley Ashula), Kazuki Akane (director), and Yoshitaka Kawaguchi (producer) took the stage. Below is the report.

At the theaters where the film was shown, visitors were given miniature color paper (5 kinds in total) with illustrations newly drawn by Shuichi Shimamura, chief animation director, as a special gift. In addition, staff talk shows will be held on five consecutive days.

The end of those guided by Geass! The final chapter of "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled," which finally concludes the series, "Aishikimonotachihe" began showing at Shinjuku Wald 9, Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro, and 36 other theaters nationwide on February 6 (Sat). This time, we report on the opening greeting held at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo, which was attended by many fans despite the early morning screening.

The stage greeting was attended by the splendid cast members, including Miyu Irino playing Akito Hyuga, Masaya Matsukaze playing Shin Huga Shine, and Takuatsu Terashima playing Ashley Ashula, as well as director Kazuki Akane and Sunrise producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi, who were welcomed with warm applause from the audience. The audience was filled with laughter as Mr. Irino, Mr. Matsukaze, Mr. Terashima, and the other cast members engaged in the same laugh-out-loud banter that has become a tradition at these "Akito the Exiled" stage greetings.

Asked about his impression of the final chapter, Ms. Irino replied, "It was interesting. The battle scenes alone, such as the appearance of new models (Alexander Liberte and Alexander Red Ogre) and the confrontation between Akito and Shin, were depicted with overwhelming power, and I think it is no exaggeration to say that it was the culmination of everything we have done so far. Of course, the relationship between Layla and Akito was also well depicted, and I think that in the end, we were able to enjoy the work as we imagined it. He also commented with a smile on Akito's growth from the first chapter to the final chapter, saying, "In the beginning, he was emotionless and looked like a robot carrying out a mission, but he changed rapidly during the course of the final chapter and became a more human character. Director Akane also commented, "My intention was to portray Akito from a cold, cool, and crazy man back to his true self. I personally think that in the end, he became a character who can be protected like a heroine, and I feel that he is cute (laughs).

Asked about her impression of the final chapter, Matsukaze commented, "It is an animation that really doesn't waste a single second, and I think there is no other work in the world that doesn't waste even a single second. I want to watch it again and again. As for Shin, he said, "It was a challenging and delicious role. The recording of the postrecording was really hard, and there were parts that had to be re-recorded, but that made it all the more memorable. Matsukaze-san asked Terashima, "Was I in the way? I'm sorry. I'm sorry I put it right in front of you (laughs).

When asked about his impression of the final chapter, Terashima replied, "The highlight is the introduction of new mecha. I personally think that "Akito the Exiled" is one of the works in the Code Geass series that specializes in mecha battle scenes, and in this final chapter, the main character's machine has become more like a main character, and the battle scenes are really cool. As for Ashley, "The scene where she eats a sandwich with both hands left a strong impression on me," said Matsukaze, "That was foolish (laughs). He took two of the three sandwiches from the others," she replied, drawing laughter from the audience.

Asked about the mysterious power of "geass," which is a key element of his work, Akane replied, "Actually, Shin's geass can only be applied to certain people. Shin can only apply a Geass to people he likes. Shin can only apply a Geass to people he likes, and the only person he can apply a Geass to is the person he likes. As for Shinn's final battle with Akito, he said, "As you can see in the recollections of his childhood, Shinn was a gentle soul who became possessed by the magical power of Geass when he began to have hatred for the world.

Finally, the speakers commented one by one. Producer Kawaguchi said, "It took a long time, but we managed to make it to the end. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the process. Director Akane said, "Thank you very much for your support. I like the film myself and feel that I am getting a good response. Thanks to the hard work of all the cast and crew. Terashima said, "I can't say enough about it, but I think it is a really interesting work, and I myself am very happy to have been involved in such a good production. Matsukaze said, "This is a wonderful work that I am proud to present to the world. There are so many things I can't talk about, so if there are any events, I would like to participate and talk about them all. Thank you very much for coming early today. Mr. Irino said, "I would like to thank all the fans who have supported us for a long time until this final chapter. I hope you will watch the final chapter and then rewatch the first chapter again, as I think it will be a more expansive work. The opening day greetings came to an end with each of the fans expressing their passion for the film.
