Doraemon distributes the movie "Nobita's Birth of Japan" in 4K quality! In commemoration of the release of the remake "New Nobita's Birth of Japan".

It was announced that "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Birth of Japan," released in 1989, will be distributed in 4K quality from the animated film "Doraemon the Movie: The New Nobita's Birth of Japan," which will be released on March 5.

This is a project to commemorate the March 5 release of "Doraemon the Movie: The Birth of Nobita's Japan," a remake of the popular "Doraemon the Movie: The Birth of Nobita's Japan," which boasts the largest number of viewers of all time (4.2 million) in the Doraemon movie series. Doraemon: The Birth of Japan" in 4K will be distributed exclusively on J:COM from February 20 to May 31. This is the first 4K version of the Doraemon movie series, and the first time an entire animated film has been converted to 4K.


In addition, "Doraemon the Movie: The Birth of Japan" 4K making-of featurette will also be available on J:COM On Demand during the same period. This is a valuable video (approx. 10 minutes) that shows the process of scanning celluloid pictures one by one from 27-year-old films and converting them to digital data through delicate and careful work, with the cooperation of the Tokyo Development Studio. In addition, the first film of the new movie (approx. 10 min.) and the past 8 theatrical films are also scheduled to be distributed.
