New cast members have been announced for the TV anime "Assassination Classroom" (2nd season) currently airing.

Assassination Classroom" is an anime work based on the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump by Matsui Yusei of "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro" fame. The story follows a year in the life of "Kakushi Sensei," who becomes the homeroom teacher of "End no E class," a failing class of junior high school students with Mach 20 speed and enormous power and declares that he will destroy the earth, and the students who take on his assassination missions The first TV anime season aired from January to June 2015 and was a huge hit, winning the " Search Awards 2015" in the animation category.

The second season has been airing since January 2016, and a new cast has been unveiled. The mysterious "Shinigami" who first appeared in episode 7 is played by Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Hirokai Ushioda, Nagisa's mother, who first appeared in episode 9, is played by Kotono Mitsuishi.
