TV Anime "Aikatsu Stars! started in April!　Movie version will be released on August 13th, the first double feature in the history of the series with simultaneous screenings of short films.

From the currently airing TV anime "Aikatsu! Aikatsu Stars!" and "Aikatsu Stars the Movie! and "Aikatsu Stars the Movie! were announced.

The arcade card game/TV anime "Aikatsu!" is a digital card game that allows players to self-produce their own characters and experience the idol activities of their dreams, and is popular mainly among girls. Aikatsu! has been broadcast on TV Tokyo since October 2012, and has also become popular with two movie versions being released.

This time, it was revealed that the new series "Aikatsu Stars! will begin in April. The new series "Aikatsu Stars! is set at the idol school Yotsusei Gakuen and follows the main character, Yume Nijino, and other new students as they pursue their idol activities with the goal of becoming the S4, the school's top four stars. Broadcasting will begin on April 7 on Thursdays at 6:25 p.m. on the six TV Tokyo network, and on Mondays at 5:00 p.m. on BS Japan.

And the anime movie "Aikatsu Stars the Movie! will also be released on August 13. In the movie version, the students of Yotsusei Gakuen travel to a southern island and the story of the "legendary dress" unfolds. In addition, the movie version will feature a short film, "Aikatsu: The Aimless Magic," in which characters from the current series play an active role! ～Aikatsu!", a short film featuring characters from the current series. This will be the first time in the series' history that it will be shown as a double feature, and is expected to draw even more attention.

Incidentally, the arcade card game, which has shipped over 210 million cards in total (as of January 2016), will also launch a new series in May.
