On Sunday, February 28, 2016, "Gundam Rakugo," or "Rasutoshu-Thing," which expresses the world of Gundam through Rakugo, will be released on "GUNDAM.INFO" ( # ).


This "Gundam Rakugo" will be performed by Shiraku Tachikawa, a rakugo storyteller of the Tachikawa school. Shiraku, who is active in a wide range of genres from classic rakugo to cinema rakugo based on Western films, will be drawing a lot of attention for how he interprets and reconstructs the world of "Gundam". To commemorate the release of the "Rasuto Shuting" video, an event will be held on February 28 (Sun.) at Bellesalle Akihabara in Tokyo, where Shiraku Tachikawa himself will appear on stage. On the day of the event, "Pachinko Rakugo" by Shira Tachikawa will be performed at the same time as the opening act. <Profile of Shiraku Tachikawa

Born in Tokyo in 1963. He is a rakugo (comic storytelling) performer of the Tachikawa school.
Became a member of Tachikawa Danshi before graduating from Nihon University College of Art in 1985,
In 1988, he was promoted to the second rank, and in 1995, he was promoted to the rank of machete.
He has a large group of more than 20 disciples.
He is also known for his unique cinema rakugo (more than 70 pieces), in which he adapts Western films to rakugo.
He is a film director (a member of the Directors Guild of Japan), film critic, and theater troupe leader, and is also deeply involved in painting and Showa-era songs.
