Experience the world of SAO! Sword Art Online The Beginning Sponsored by IBM" will be held in March!
Sword Art Online" (SAO), the anime adaptation of the light novel by Reki Kawahara published by Dengeki Bunko, has become extremely popular. This spring, an event will be held to reproduce and experience the world of "Sword Art Online" (SAO).
The event, titled "Sword Art Online The Beginning Sponsored by IBM," is a collaboration between ASCII Media Works and IBM Japan, and will be held on IBM's cloud service "SoftLayer" to reproduce the world of the virtual reality game "Sword Art Online. By utilizing IBM's cloud service SoftLayer as the system infrastructure, the VRMMO game will be able to realize the realism of the real world by processing high-load data at high speed. In addition, a navigator named "Cog" will appear in the game as an image of what IBM's cognitive computing system "IBM Watson" can do when it is used in future games.
The event will be held for three days from Friday, March 18 to Sunday, March 20, 2016. The location of the event will be in Tokyo. For more details and to register, please visit the special event page below.
