TV anime "GARO - Kouren no Tsuki" unveils new visuals newly drawn by Masakazu Katsura! BD/DVD-BOX Volume 1 box design also revealed!

New visuals have been released from the TV anime "GARO -Kouren no Tsuki-" currently airing on TV.



GARO - Kouren no Tsuki" is the second TV anime from the adult-oriented special effects series "GARO," which has aired a total of four series since 2005, following "GARO - GARO: Mark of Fire" in 2014. This time, manga artist Masakazu Katsura, who is also well known as the character designer for "TIGER & BUNNY," will be the main character designer, and a new story will be depicted as a "Neo Heian Katsudo" set in the Heian period. Production will continue to be handled by MAPPA and TOHOKUSHINSHA. It will be broadcast in two consecutive seasons.

A new visual for the work, which has been airing since October, has been unveiled. In addition to the knightly Raikou, Hakamadaru and Heya also appear in the new visual, which was drawn by main character designer Masakazu Katsura. In the background is the eerie Kouren no Tsuki, and Hoshiaki is also depicted in a somewhat different and mysterious atmosphere.


The design of the three-sided back box from the first volume of the BD/DVD box set, which will be released on April 2, has also been revealed. The design was also drawn by the main character designer, Masakazu Katsura. The video extras include the unaired "Magai Shinnan," a talk show with Masakazu Katsura held in Kyoto, the complete version of the "Kinro Thanksgiving 2015 Special Roundtable Discussion," in which the main cast members had an intense talk, and the talk event "GARO Creator's kNight Ⅹ" (featuring Keita Amemiya, Masakazu Katsura, Shintaro Kojima ( Capcom), Takayuki Takeya, Yasushi Nichisawa, Yukio Fujioka, Tetsuya Yanagihara (American Crayfish)). Initial extras include a storyboard book of the 10th episode "Issun" by Yoshiaki Kawajiri and an event entry ticket.
