The animated TV series "The Lion Guard" will start in April.

This is a new animated TV series that is a sequel to Disney's classic animated film "The Lion King," which was released in the United States in June 1994 and grossed $987.4 million at the worldwide box office. The Lion King" was first broadcast on the Disney Channel in the U.S. on January 15, 2016 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the film's release. The main character is Qion, the second child of Simba, who inherited the throne of Pride Land from "The Lion King." The story begins when Qion inherits the leadership of the Lion Guard, the legendary guardians who protect the peace in Pride Land. The film depicts how Cayon overcomes various incidents that occur in the kingdom while clashing and cooperating with his unique friends.


Broadcast will begin in April on the Disney Channel.
